Esilia rolls the two stone eyes around in her hand a bit. They are polished obsidian in actuality and can’t really be worth more than a dozen gold or two apiece.
Meanwhile, Syvis pears into the newly revealed entryway to see a narrow passage extending 40 feet before turning north. Water beads collect upon the walls all the way down, and the flooring is cold and damp. A low ceiling, only five feet tall, further cramps this dank place. Abomwe climbs the 4 feet up to the entrance easily and crawls her way into the corridor. Despite her size, it seams rather claustrophobic.
Joel picks up the sword and ties it to his pack, "I can look into determining what this is later. As for your complaint, Esilia, I apologize for your fall, but when a statue begins to fall, the only reasonable recourse is to move out of the way, I thought you balanced well enough to take you with, but you apparently attempted to go one way while I went the other resulting in the imbalance which led to your fall. Perhaps, in future endeavors, we should work out a contingency plan for such things ahead of time. As for your plan of crawling through the cramped tunnel, I think it holds potential, but why don't we allow Abomwe to explore further before blocking her in, in case of further mishaps?"
Esilia's tail uncoils and flicks in the air for a moment, causing the water on her clothes to move off of her back on the floor. "I know that!" She exclaims. "Sorry for bursting at you like that, I am quick-tempered. Don't take it personally. I should have thought about such a plan. From now on, I'll be extra careful."
Esilia looks at the rocks a bit disappointed. Her pack was already too heavy for worthless rocks. "Anybody wants these?"She asks, holding the rocks out. "You could probably sell these for some gold pieces."
Abomwe inches forward slowly, eventually achieving another 20 feet. This corridor is slimy and wet yet still manageable. At the turn up ahead all is quiet—only the whispered sounds of her companions behind fall upon her ears. The walls and ceilings seem to be stucco on stone she would guess and nothing appears to be amiss to her dwarves senses.
Feeling relatively confident about not being dead yet she continued on ( Until something changes.), calling back to her companions would alert anything alive in here that she was on her way.
As Abomwe makes the turn to the north, she sees the corridor terminate at a wall. A large stone appears to pivot on a central axis and has been wedged open by the accumulation of debris.
Syvis raises an eyebrow and smiles at Esilia as she holds out the opals, "what, you don't want to keep them yourself? Some of your spells are pretty expensive, no?" He takes the rocks from Esilia, "I'll hold on to them for you."
He calls into the narrow corridor Abomwe climbed in, his voice echoing, "call out if you see anything!"
"I couldn't even if I wanted to. My pack is already heavy for me to carry. If I added any low-cost rock I'd find I'll never be able to carry this pack. Either way, none of my spells in this book", she taps her spellbook, "requires any material that costs too much. The most I ever spent on materials was for the chalk to summon Shpeeny, and even that wasn't too much. Thinking about it, why don't we send her to investigate in the future? She's smaller and doesn't stand out in a place like this. It might take a little longer though, she doesn't move as quickly with her short legs."

"Yeah..." The realization hits Syvis as he agrees that sending the little spider to do the scouting is a better idea than themselves climbing in, "let's keep that in mind for next time."
Nodding at Joel, he walks towards the door at the end of the corridor, and starts to investigate it for any traps or hidden mechanisms.
Abomwe peers beyond the pivoted stone into a hallway strewn with mud and flotsam. Water accumulates in the center of the corridor and flows westward to where a stone block in the southern wall has shifted out of place and where Abomwe now stands. The corridor turns north, and the flow of water follows it, then goes under a door made of bronze-bound wood. The door has a handle and a keyhole.
Syvis meanwhile notes the doors are made of bronze and are tinted blue from oxidation. They do not appear to be locked or trapped from what he sees.
Assuming Syvis gives the ok, Joel would carefully and slowly push the doors open, keeping his shield up in case of potential threats or traps, or even falling rocks.
Abomwe arrives back through the crawl way and relates her findings. Assuming everyone has now congregated near the bronze double doors, Joel stands poised to try one of those doors--shield up, and alert for hostile complications....
((Pull the trigger when ready Joel...not really meant to sound ominous.))

Joel eases the door open, holding his shield out in front of him and takes a quick look around before pushing it the rest of the way open and stepping in and to one side.
"Should we check out the door in the tunnel afterwards?" Syvis consults the group after listening to Abomwe's findings. He stands behind Joel as the man opens the door, preparing himself for anything on the other side.
"I thought we should do so before this door. If the passageway was hidden, it must hold secrets more interesting than the 'main road'. If we find nothing interesting in this room, I say we go back and check the hidden passageway first. Of course, splitting is not an option in a place like this. It will decrease the chances of both teams to reach an exit."

She moved forward to the pivot stone and tried to peer beyond it, carefully clearing debris if necessary...
Joel looks to the others, "Do we want to look behind this door while she's scouting?" Gesturing to the door they'd initially been headed towards.
