I have a conundrum picking at my brain. Truesight lets you see in darkness, magic and not. It can see the true form of shapeshifters, and it lets you see illusions for what they really are. As far as I know, this doesn't let you see past Wall of Light, a spell that "blocks line of sight" with a 60x10' wall, and as far as I know isn't made of magical darkness. My DM played truesight as a see-all mechanic, though, and I want to know if it should have been worded differently (if Truesight doesn't work through Wall of Light, and should have ben called something like Omni-sight or some other name that means "He sees you regardless of what's going on").
I think for a lot of people it's easy to fall into the idea that different senses are hierarchical: "normal" > Darksight > Blindsight ~= Tremorsense > Truesight . In this view Truesight would be the "omni-sight" you mention. But RAW they all work a bit differently and in some cases Truesight is more vulnerable. A creature with Truesight can be blinded, for example, which would not hinder Blindsight or Tremorsense. Line of sight is another vulnerability of Truesight. A true all-seeing monster needs multiple options/features to counter all the different ways to block Truesight.

Does Truesight let you see through Wall of Light?
Truesight does not let you see through the Wall of Light spell, as it is neither magical Darkness nor an Illusion.
Thank you for the clarification!
