I expect we will still see UA material as they are always working on the next book. I honestly don't think that the latest UA will be part of the TCoE for example.

i will be shocked if the spirits bard, an subclass that is aestetically an perfect fit for this new sourcebook is in fact not in there, it be absurd

I would be shocked if it was in there. It came out last month, and this book is coming out in about 3 months. That's a very tight schedule for UA release to book release that is basically unprecedented. This latest UA won't be in TCoE, it's going in another setting book.

Please check out my homebrew, I would appreciate feedback:
I don't think that there is a unified theme for this book. Genie, Armorer and Psychic Soul don't match the same theme as Spirit Bard
There is nothing "spooky" about Race and Class variant rules or Sidekicks either.
like obiously a lot of this book will be just unifying the bits and bops of the last few years, but a lot of it (particularly the spells and magic items) seems to have an sort of occult, witchy vibe, there is something called an tarokka deck that can trap spirits the magical enviorments included include like "Eldritch Storms, magical fruits and magical roads, a Mirror Realm...", just seems like it fits right in

I have gotten themes from these UA, but occult was not one of them. Does the Unity cleric scream occult to you, or the Wildfire druid?

again i am not talking about the other subclasses becuase those where spawned from misc UA articles and are only really in here since this is xanatar's guide 2, electric boogaloo, the other stuff, the eldrich storms, the magic items, those spells defenetly do indicate something witchy and occult, again there is even an magic item letting you commune with spirits via a deck of cards

So, you look at the stuff that validates your viewpoint, and ignore the stuff that contradicts it. That sounds like the definition of circular thinking.

If the newly announced book doesn't skew the release schedule of UA articles, the next one should arrive within the next two weeks
Considering the erratic release dates of the current live UA. There's a 95% chance that the next UA will be released NO LATER than 10/13. (We are currently within the window of probable release)
Bonus: There's 95% chance that the next Sourcebook will be released NO LATER than 9/10/2021
If they still feel the need to playtest magic items, it would be nice to see some of those tested out
Do you mean the magic items in TCoE? If so, they're not going to playtest those in a UA. The book's being released in 2 months, much too soon to be doing UA for it.

But Magic items for any books, or will they just publish those without UA testing?

It depends. They have never playtested magic items through UA that are in adventure books, and only rarely for Xanathar's type books. I'm assuming no Xanathars type books are going to have UA in the near future, so no magic items in the forseeable UA future.

The UA schedule is pretty erratic recently. Before August 15, 2019 there was two jumps (big skips) before that. Then there's a single skipped month. That's why I predicted the next UA on a date I stated before on post #1514. Not particularly useful due to wide "confidence intervals".
I'll check back in this post after I checked the data in the morning.
Edit: After including entire historical data and some complicated forecasting 💩, I'm 95% confident that next UA will be on or before 9th of October, 2020
I think it will have a Psionic Subclass for the Monk, and maybe the Barbarian.
I hope it’ll have a dedicated Psion Class, but I doubt it. 😢
What are your thoughts?
be careful what you wish for
Well, psionics would most certainly work for the Monk & Barbarian...
The spiritual & mental disciplines of the Monk lends itself well to a psionic user...and I could see the sheer, raw psionic release of a Barbarian's "Rage" being flavored in such a way, should they decide to create a subclass for it.
Also, Bard...the "mantles" that the 'ol Mystic class got as features would make for some interesting features in a class that already affects individuals through their performances...you could say that these Bards tapped into psionics to study emotions themselves...pathokinesis, so to speak.
Looping backwards a bit, I do believe it was the Barbarian & Monks who started all these Unearthed Arcana, as well...the "Wild Soul" & "Astral Self", specifically...so it makes sense that they might release two subclasses with those classes, as a finisher of sorts.

I realized that most of the active UA will be archived by the time TCE is released. Well, take my money!
I agree, wasn't the whole point of this new book to be a sort of mish-mash of general ideas useful for all settings and themes?
It's ok Ranger, you'll always be cool to me.. Unless druid gets another use for its wild shape charges.
