Shadar-kai, from a quick look, seems like it'll definitely be a gold mine to look at. (And much better than the first search I did of just "emo elf.")
That first tomb in Eve of Ruin was quite enjoyable IMO. Did a nice job with pushing resources to a limit. (Also enjoying the current leg for pushing resources too.)
Yeah, so far, we tried to trick the cultists (went well and then terribly as we got a drop on the leader, he used cone of cold, i counterspelled, he cast some other big spell and it hurt like heck) so we fled to some tiny room near the Marid and our bard cast Catnap.
oh, and also, our rogue has a +13 to stealth and once she levels up she won’t be able to roll lower than a 23, so that’s gonna be super fun. The rogue and my character have a pair of rings that let them basically share the damage they took and then halving it, which we haven’t got to use yet but is a cool thing I thought I should mention. :>
I made a Aasimar who was...you know what I will be lazy and copy paste a backtory written by the Aasimar himself...
I was born to a human family, and they didn't understand my gift...or curse. As a young boy I was plagued by demonic rantings, and overwhelmed by angelic calls. They both nagged at me, and their pleads for my alliance tore at me, the polarity of their beliefs assaulting me. My family couldn't understand, they nor I realized I was an Aasimar born to humans. Eventually, they abandoned me, seeing me as strange or dangerous, for often my visions would influence me magically and I would gain visages of the spirits that spoke to me.
I walked for miles, traveling to the nearby hills to meditate and live alone. There, I realized something. The power these beings had over me was limited, and I was able to choose what I did with their influence. I have decided that though I don't know what may be right or wrong anymore, that makes me able to be merciful to anyone, not able to write one off as "good" or "evil". I am still learning what these are, and that allows me to be understanding to all.
So, I set out to understand what good and evil were, and what would happen when I used both. I decided to follow the common thread the demons and angels spoke of, the war they fought, and it had something to do with Dragons. So, a fellow monk, Leosin and I studied dragons for some time, using Greenest as our base. He taught me how to be a monk, and I went away to go meditate for a year. I am now returning to Greenest to meet up with my friend, and see what he has learned."
As you can see, it was a character I made for a Tyranny of Dragons campaign. A few other things about him were that he was never given a name, and thus calls himself "Vexed". This works as to when he introduces himself, he says, "Hello, I am Vexed". He is a Warrior of Mercy monk, using the hand of harm and the hand of healing, both representing the dual alleigiance he has to demons and angels. It is slightly more develpoed in my mind than I have spoken here, but I popped into my head at the mention of an Aasimar character. lol

I have made a huge homebrew setting that I am still working on putting here in DDB. Please give me feedback, I want to know all of what I am doing wrong, and what I am doing right. The thread is a huge work in progress, so everything in it from content to layout is subject to change. Please check this forum:Welcome to Zionderia
Also I have a fun thread that explores an idea about dreams based off the movie Inception. I still need to add the link but stay tuned.
Oh! doy, I did know that actually lol. I didn't put it together lol. That makes more sense. So y'all playing a campaign with that style? I have wanted to do that, but I in a real life sitting, I have never had any other folks who want to or know how to DM, I am the only one (sniffs, lonely).
My group doesn't go quite to the extremes of God Be Crazy. More we swap off now and then. So during the last summer one guy ran a leg of the campaign where hobgoblins invaded this elven realm. Now another guy is running adventure where we're going to one of the lands he's in charge of and we're dealing with chaos god stuff and bullywugs. And then after that, my plan would be to take them over to an area I'm in charge of where they'd investigate some going ons. (Basic idea: BBEG is researching a WMD and that's bad for the political balance.)
I see, that sounds fun. I am honestly jealous. It has truly been forever since i have played a campaing, as DM, and never have I played as a player. But, I figure the longer I wait, the more I shall enjoy and appreciate the next time I do play.
Hope you all are having a good time, it sounds great!

Haha, rogues and their crazy stealth. I actually know very little of the Vecna campaign other than you travel all round the multiverse to defeat him, so that all is new to me, but man, it sounds like y'all having a good time!
Okay I gtg, love you all and good night!

A Hydra Kraken is not an actual variant of the Kraken, but rather a form of sea life, most often squid or octopi, that has been mutated by other worldly forces. The creature goes through a hibernating metamorphosis some time after initial exposure that typically lasts between 2-3 years. Once this phase is done, the Hydra Kraken appears as a large, about the size of a long ship, version of its original form, with new tentacles covering the entire back half, replacing its fins and tail if it originally had them. each of these tentacles bear a retractable spike that faces outwards, capable of cutting through a ship’s hull when in motion. This apex sea critter gets the ‘hydra’ part of its name due to its odd regenerative abilities. When a creature or object cuts off one of these aforementioned tentacles, two, sometimes even three, can grow to take its place in a span of 30 seconds. This duplicative regeneration is powered by an organ unique to this mutated sea life. Hydra Kraken’s don’t have a way to expel waste, so rather it accumulates in their bodies in this specific organ. When this organ is full, the Hydra Kraken enters another hibernation, in which this unexpelled waste is converted to body mass, increasing the creature’s size. When a limb is removed, this organ is what causes it to regrow double in numbers. However, if their is no waste to convert, then the Hydra Kraken cannot regrow its tentacles.
(This is referring to the Unholy Beings thread. If you don't know what that is, I have the original post I pitched it in here.)
A rework of that one evil tavern inspired by the Smorgasbord that I mentioned once. Still not perfect but I feel like this would be more entertaining as a tavern then the whole empty plane without anything to do idea. And hoping this isn't just "smorgasbord but EVIL!!!!!1!1!1!11!1!1!"
In this world, there are a variety of things that shouldn't be. Taking a variety of forms from demonic to eldritch, even at their weakest they could slay an entire village with ease. We call these creatures Unholy Beings.
Long ago, the heavens were the sole beings outside of the earth. However, a cult seeked to gain more power. So, in a foul ritual, they created the very [first, future Gibber editing and idk how I missed this when I posted] Unholy Beings. The heavens, upon being alerted of this, fought valiantly to halt the threat-- and they succeeded. However, the Beings would only revive if slain to appear later, and therefore they were sealed away.
Tenebris Sine Fine, commonly known as The Endless Dark or simply The Abyss, is a realm of seemingly infinite empty layers where the Beings have been cast away to. At the center lies the start of the realm, the City of Profanus, a red and black city where all Unholy Beings go to the center upon banishment. Even nowadays Unholy Beings still can be created, but the heavens put a quick stop to it and send them to The Abyss. There is no escape from The Endless Dark. But there can be conquering of it.
Basically, it would use a levelling system (probably not the Smorgasbord and Kobold's With Cannons one of __ per day-- it's good but I want something unique to stand out) and when you reach the maximum level you can claim a layer of the Endless Dark as your own domain. You can decide any aspect of it, such as it's design, its law if it has any, its residents, etc. In the meantime, you would grow stronger and stronger as an Unholy Being and gain more power (that I'm not sure how you would use in the meantime, will need to decide that if I do this). If you're slain, you respawn as a Level 1 Being after a bit of IRL time. This tavern is evil centered since we don't really have much of those on the forums, so you could do whatever evil acts you want without punishment.
So basically, Arch designed a system to make levelling up more interesting, and give characters more variety in the powers department. As you level up, you're going to gain experience, just like any other levelling system. (I lied in the OG post, one of the ways to gain experience is ___ XP per day, but there's two other ways as well.) However, the unique part is that each time you level up (and as a byproduct of those other ways I mentioned), you'll gain 'Dread Points'. These points can be used to gain abilities, with 3 different categories: Unleashable, Passive, and Standard. You also can take a fourth category: Flaws, which give you more Dread Points instead of costing them, at the price of negative abilities that apply detriments to you. As of now, we're planning about 15 abilities per category, and more will be added later on both from our ideas and y'all's suggestions.
Speaking of which, we want some suggestions for abilities to start off with, along with feedback on abilities made so far, and we're gonna be recruiting for that soon so be on the lookout.
That's all! See ya'! *Sinks into a pool of black ichor*

The flaws to get more dread points is making me think of Pete from Darths and Droids, who likes min-maxing his characters. The series basically goes "what if the Star Wars movies were a D&D campaign" so for example with the Rogue One one-shot Pete was Chirrut and Baez. With his min-maxing being "Chirrut is blind, but has Baez as a familar through whom he sees." And then for the death of Chirrut the DM being like, "Wouldn't this save you?" and Pete being like, "But I gave him hemophilia in order to up his DEX..." (I don't remember the exact quote, but that's the idea.)
Some might remember that my friend's cleric worships Bibo which comes from a Chinese tv show. (image in spoiler; Arch did say last time to kill it with fire)
Today he found more images of the cursed being and sent them in the Discord server.
Never before have I wanted the ability to block individual messages than I do today.

DM: You can see in the city how the chaos gods and cultists are enslaving everyone in it. Me: Good. Bullywugs getting enslaved is exactly what should happen. DM: Well... the bullywugs in the cult aren't the ones getting enslaved. Me: Doesn't matter. Any bullywugs getting enslaved is a good thing.
We may have had some negative experiences with bullywugs so far...

…what did the bullywugs do?
Well for one, our cleric that worships that unholy abomination is a bullywug.
Two, they are just the worst.
Three, they help fuel the warlock's belief that animals are trying to take over the world.
Four, again they're the worst.
Five, the DM gave them a penchant for cannibalism. Both of bullywugs and humanoids in general.

Salem has dubbed me Fellow Pancake of The Fox.
Henlo, I am a pan, NB, chaotic ADHD mess of a furry.
I am also a eepy eeper, who likes WoF, WC, and fire.

✨Oh Noah✨
✨ time to Get the boat✨
✨we’re having another flood✨
Also from tonight's session.

Good.
Six, again, they are the worst.

Ah, that makes sense.
i had paid no real attention to Bullywugs until now, but since they’re becoming fey, silly frog people, I of course now think they’re cute.
