These are the main two reasons I cannot go all in. My players are really enjoying the proficiency die optional rules. I cannot find any sheet anywhere that adds them into the skills. A 1d4+3 dex check.... And as much as I like the original sheet, I would like a sheet (or part of) that has descriptions of feats and abilities, as well as a space for a small description of spells.

That last half of your statement is coming in the character sheet update. 2 is going to be part of that too, I think, and for number 3, that will be integrated into the DDB app.

I need to be able to search the compendium for specific rules. So a search bar that queries all of my indexed rule sets.
You could just use your browser's search function. It isn't perfect, but it would work.
At the moment I cannot search the players handbook for unarmored defense and find anything. I have to browse through the indexes manually just like the book. I might as well use the pirated pdf that everyone knows about to search each book with the adobe search function.

A fellow gamer called Grinnz pointed this out:
"If you use the global search you can then click the Compendium icon to limit your search to that. Or go to https://www.dndbeyond.com/search and click the compendium then search."

To have the sourcebook writers choose homebrew for for some of their spells, monsters, ect.
The company that publishes D&D is called Wizards of the Coast and they are owned by Hasbro. The company that owns this website is called Curse, and they are owned by Fandom. The people who write the sourcebooks don’t work for DnD Beyond. If you want to give feedback to the sourcebook authors you should contact WotC about it.
But I’ll warn you now, they hate homebrew. They didn’t even want DDB to allow us to make homebrew in the first place. so unfortunately, I doubt your idea will get much support from inside the company.

Seems strange to not want people to share homebrew, I mean, what could happen?

How about being able to list separate scrolls in my inventory? There is no decent scroll tracking in character sheets and it shocking that it’s not in there.

If I have to homebrew make them myself then it’s not a feature already in place.
Well, you can wait until they get around to it, but they haven’t done it in 3+ years, so.... Or you could click the link, make your own, and keep playing.
As a seasoned player but relatively new DM, I would love to see support for NPCs - maybe an NPC generator that lets you create NPC stat sheets, then a way to assign those NPCs to a campaign, assigned to the DM and hidden from the players unless the DM assigns the NPC to one of the players, at which point they could all see the NPC. I know that having NPCs played by players should probably not be common, but if you are playing with a small and/or inconsistent group of players in a challenging campaign it can really help. As a DM, having access to my NPCs in D&D Beyond would be great, I could open them on separate tabs, then switch back and forth between them and my campaign content.
I have used character builder to generate a homebrewed NPC, then marked it as private and added it to the campaign with a name like NPC 1, which might work OK - the players can't see it unless I unassign it and change it to public, at which point they could use it (and the cryptic name keeps them from realizing when they have met one of the really important NPCs). Unfortunately, if I am DMing Tomb of Annihilation and want to create a potentially playable stat block for one of the published NPCs (or just an electronic version so that I don't have to flip pages back and forth in the campaign book), I'm out of luck...
Yeah, I know that if I buy ToA in D&D Beyond I can open multiple tabs and achieve my goal of having multiple NPCs and other campaign material up at once, but I can't afford that AND the printed book, and maybe I'm old fashioned, but I really like having the physical book - not to mention the map is invaluable! In addition, I would assume that an NPC stat block created by a generator in D&D Beyond would have hyperlinks for such things as spells, magic items, etc. so I can check out the specifics of Bigby's Hand or the Ring of Winter...
Thank you for your consideration, I have been extremely pleased with D&D Beyond and hope to see it continue to grow and improve!

I think this would be a great idea. In the meantime, some possibilities for recreating TOA NPCs:
-Use the homebrew monster system to recreate them; spells, etc. will be hyperlinked. Or at least will if you set it up right; start by copying one of the casting NPCs from the Basic rules like Archmage to see how it's done
-If that proves to difficult or time consuming, you could purchase just the NPCs you need from the "monster" section on the page for TOA in the marketplace.
Both seem pretty obvious now that you mention it, thanks!! I think I'll try the homebrew monster approach first, I was a computer programmer, so I don't expect any problems with the markups. Cool, I'm glad you responded so quickly - my campaign starts next Friday, so I actually have time to get this done! Thanks again!!

1. Proficiency Die option.
2. Character sheet customization.
3. An app for chatacters

What I personally would like to see in D&D Beyond is a way to manually edit proficiencies.

1. The ability to do custom classes.
2. Character traits we can turn on/off (for example a warforged reliant on an body part to keep it running and without it it's stats take a hit).

You can, you just have to make them yourself at the moment. I explain how to do it (with other tips) in this thread: https://www.dndbeyond.com/forums/d-d-beyond-general/d-d-beyond-feedback/5828-spell-scrolls-in-inventory?comment=28
I hope that helps.
