The ability to mark a spell as "Eldritch Blast." My DM allows us to to choose a different cantrip as our "Eldritch Cantrip" and apply any Eldritch Invocations that would effect Eldritch Blast too it. In our current game, the spell I am using is Ray of Frost. I thought that I may be able to make a copy of a spell and mark it as such but unfortunately that is not the case.

i always thought it was just better to just switch the damage type to whatever type the player wants, the rest is fluff to me. thats how i do it. but i agree that it would be great to be able to just change prerequisite for whatever we want.

also effects that take effect only on certain levels of the attuned creature for magic items.
Also not exactly a modifier, and less needed, but some people have asked for it.
I personally don't like that idea as it kind of goes against the idea of what a magic item does. It's powers are not based on the user's ability, it powers are a property of the item.
If you want items that don't work for low level characters, make the item sentient or make a vestige like in EGtW.
We have the "Magic Weapon Attack With [ability score]", but if this is given to a magic weapon it affects all magic weapons. I'd like one that affects just the weapon it is attached to.
Or put in other words: I'd like variants of the Finesse weapon property, coupled with modifiers to attach said property to a magic item/weapon.
Hey team, I'd like to add to the echo of voices asking for:
1.) the ability to create homebrew equipment (i.e. guns with specific damage dice options, ranges, properties, etc.),
2.) to edit ranges and damage dice to existing spells/weapons (i.e. change the existing pistol to 25 ft/100 ft for range and 1d8 for damage), and
3.) to allow for more customized options (both in the character sheet and in the "Create Homebrew" section) for spells and items (i.e. to change an existing spell's name from "Firebolt" to "Thundervolt," or to do any of the things listed above in the character sheet to existing spells/items).
I know this likely just equates to revamping the current homebrew toolset, which it has been said isn't as high of a priority as adding something that doesn't exist at all yet. However, as someone who is paying money for a service, I would much rather that the features available to me were top-notch than have a bunch of features that don't quite cut muster. That's not to say that the site and app aren't fantastic; they are! But this is a real wall when it comes to playing with folks online who rely on Beyond20 and the like for rolls. Especially when the DM has their own ideas about what the capabilities of items/weapons/spells in their world should be. Please don't dismiss this suggestion, as it is felt by way more players than are reflected here in this thread!
Thanks. -KB

You can do 2 for spells and can completely do 3.
Basically the only thing you can't do is change the damage dice or range of weapons.

Not to shoot a dead horse, but I wanted to clarify:
1. Listed in quote: Still can't do any of that at this point.
2.) You cannot do 2. also listed below at all. You can CREATE a new spell that let's you specify damage and range, but you cannot edit a spell or weapon's range or damage in character sheet. You'd have to create a new spell, and there is no feature like this for weapon.
3.) You jumped on the one thing you can do in 3, which is to customize the name of a spell (a poor job on my part of exampling.. it's been a long crack at making this homebrew work the way I need it to). However, you cannot do any of the other stuff; it's why I've made this suggestion in the first place!
All this is to say, please do not just sweep these suggestions under the rug, especially not for reasons that are inaccurate. These are suggestions that are also wanted by multiple players/users of this site who just aren't the type to write it so in a forum.. likely for the reason that they feel it will fall on deaf ears and/or be shot down quickly!
Thanks, -KB

Absolutely none of the things you are requesting are “Modifiers.” This thread is specifically for requesting Modifiers. For example:
Hey DDB Devs,
I would really like to request the following be added to the Modifiers section please:
Modifier: Bonus->Subtype: Passive Insight
.Thank you for listening... reading... whatevering. Grazie, lei è molto gentile.
Sincerely, Your (usually) friendly forum-neighborhood pain in the @$$.
What you are asking for are not Modifiers, they are “new features.” Requests for new features should be left in an entirely different thread in a completely different forum altogether. Leaving requests for new features in this thread is a sure fire way to ensure they do not get noticed. That’s because the people who need to see them won’t look for them here, when they go to look for what new features people are requesting, they will go to the thread specifically set up for people to request new features. (Hint: it’s the one titled “Request and Vote for New Features for DDB.”)

1. That's what I said.
2. Ah I didn't realize that by "Edit existing [etc]" you meant "homebrew within character sheet without using homebrew tools," instead of just making a homebrew copy.
3. Things you listed: "more" and "change names" I'm sorry I jumped onto the one thing you can already do. As for not being able to "any of the other stuff," you can absolutely do more.
Don't get mad at me for not being able to read your mind through the internet. Maybe actually articulate your thoughts, so we know you are being off topic.

I don’t work here, I just live here. And I pay for my membership just like everyone else. So as far as I’m concerned, as long as I don’t break any of these, I can sass if I wish. 🤷♂️
If you wish to not have to see any of my posts you can click my username right next to my fabulous unicorn avatar and “ignore” me. You’ll never again have to find yourself confronted by my sassy sassiness. I promise not to be offended, or to care at all for that matter.
But I wasn’t kidding about your posting in the wrong thread. It’s kinda like writing a Christmas wish list but addressing it to Satan instead of Santa.
PS- To avoid future confusions like the one you had with DxJxC, who also doesn’t work here. Editing things or creating things directly on the character sheet is called “customizing” or “adding a custom [whatever].” Those are wholly separate from homebrewing. Customizing or adding a custom thing is a type of “quick hack” for minor tasks. For any project more substantial than that, the correct tool is the homebrewer. Your issue is rather analogous to complaining that building a deck is a pain in the @$$ when you tried doing it with a Dremel and a pocket knife... instead of using the shed full of power tools that has been conveniently provided free of charge. Ne?

Also, has nothing to do with modifiers...
Well the way they're using modifiers isn't the colloquial sense of the term.
No, it’s in the technical sense.

Be able to have magic items add spell slots
A way to add special actions to a magic item.

I'd like the ability to add spells to items that use spell slots and not charges. (just like how some of the Eldritch Invocations work for warlocks)
