5th level. We hit an orc raiding band. I took out an orcish spell caster all by my lonesome. easy hit, no real armor. in addition, worgs, and a few orc bandits. The rest of the time we RP'd and arranged our next weeks job: undead in a mine.
10th level. The party returned to the ship to find the crew missing and a few trolls loitering about. They turned one into a butterfly which they knocked unconscious (against RAW but it was creative and I liked it so it was allowed) and then stabbed/dropped giant rocks onthe others. Now they've entered the cave system where the crew appear to have been dragged into.
3rd level. My antisocial nutjob of a thief character stabbed a thug with her left-handed scissors before ducking upstairs to her bed. I guess it was her fault for choosing to stay in the inn called the Murder Oboe.
5th level: My party took out a chimera that was attacking a city. Then they almost got arrested in said city (they're wanted criminals). Two days later, they fled from another city, without even getting paid by their employer first.

All stars fade. Some stars forever fall. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Homebrew (Mostly Outdated):Magic Items,Monsters,Spells,Subclasses ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If there was no light, people wouldn't fear the dark.
My brother (who plays a cleric) cast spirit guardians during a fight with gnolls in Underdark. They all tried to rush him stupidly, but couldn't get to him. It was in a narrow tunel, so their bodies started to create difficult terrrain. They kept failing their saving throws. After all, 20 gnolls died because of this spell, and it injured 2 fangs of Yennoghu, and a Marilith.
10th level: Trolls again. And a bheur hag. The party rogue throws rocks incredibly effectively (sneak attack damage) and managed to kill a troll with pebbles. They rescued their crew and are now in mourning because the Ship's Fish (Clive) was eaten.
We chased a cutpurse who stole an old lady's purse into a den of thieves beneath the city. Confronted by the local crime boss minotaur, we secured his favor and our safe exit by slaying a troll in a pit fight!
10th level. my other character with just two levels of lock and the rest in sorcerer. we took out a fire giant, and a pack of abyssal ghouls. The ghouls were fire resistant, but I had Elemental Adept: Fire and ignored their puny resistance.
10th level: Those darn hags! They got the last of the coven members and then had a chat with a friendly skeleton (which tried to kill them). The treasure being stolen from under their nose, they now embark on a quest to recover the mysterious shard.
5th level. undead! Beefed up zombies and skellys. And then a bevy of new undead: bloody skellys with5 tentacles each, supported by corpses intent on grappling the front line fighters.
Lvl 9: Killed? a gross poison seller who poisoned 3 of us with some sort of negative energy dart. We stabbed him and chased him into his creepy secret basement, when we opened a door, we found an old, cleanly picked skeleton.
Also, we got an assist on a colossal corrupted Treant. We took out most of its health and an NPC we were working with killed it, introducing a new homebrew mechanic.
The rest of the session was shopping, rp, and investigation.
Next session we're going to investigate an area with an eldritch monster who killed us in a previous Oneshot.
5th level. More crazy undead this week, including one that would teleport half the party to random parts of the dungeon...leaving only half of us to fight the mob.I was shunted back to the entrance and even using the sprint rules, it took me 4 rounds to get back to the fight. Fail a con save of like 12 and - poof- you were gone.
The big bad guy was a kind of construct around an undead tree. We rescued some dwarves but couldn't figure out how to destroy the tree, so we collapsed the entrance to the chamber with shatter spells. Methinks we will have to go back. Or not. Two sessions, all our spells exhausted...I'm not picking up a whole lot of enthusiasm to go back.
one last thing. No real treasure either. These dead didn't seem all that greedy.
5th level: A helmed horror that was pursuing them across the plains. It was surprising for them and fun for me when their favorite spells just failed.

5th level: 1 slightly nerfed hobgoblin warlord, a hobgoblin captain with +5 to hit and 50 hit points, and 2 hobgoblins with 30 hit points and +5 to hit (these changes made them CR 1). The players thought they had this until another warlord and 2 more upgraded hobgoblins turned up.... 1 PC failed their death saves. It's a good thing there was a scroll of revivify lying on the table.
5th Level. red and blue drakes. and a DM special wyvern that could breath acid and ate fruit and veggies...the wyvern thing took me down to one hit point with one breath.
Still, I have all the heads so we should be able to pick up chicks in the next town. . We tried to skin them and we got the drake skins, but the wyvern skin was not reptilian, and withered away to paper in moments. Maaaaagic!
5th level: A mammoth (courtesy of conjure fey) after the players failed to pay enough tribute to a goliath who claimed to be the "guardian of the woods."

5th Level: Bandits or so we thought. The party likes to camp stealthy, so we were surprised when we saw bonfires in the distance. No towns or settlements were in that direction. My Halfling Warlock has boots of Evenkind. The sorcerer twinned an invisibility spell (me and the rogue) and we searched the camp at dawn. It had a ramshackle wooden pavilion wall with lots of easy gaps and no traps at all.
Now we have had a running feud with a shifty band of slavers. This group had no insignia, had rough looking elves dwarves and humans. and three prisoners, a goblin and two half orcs. I could find no papers, ledgers, invoices or incriminating documents of any kind. It looked like they wanted to keep their secrets. with minutes to spare, we made our way back to the group and gave our report.
After a brief debate we decided to walk up and talk to them. Another twinned spell put the Sorcerer and the Rogue In the back of the fort positioned to fire on anything they see. The rest of us walked up to the gate and hailed the camp. They were hostile from the start and drew first blood. Fireballs and sneak attack arrows flew. The unarmed guards jumped off the wall and unleashed a flurry of blows. After a terrible battle we won the day and freed the hostages who left. all of the people in camp fought to the death.
In the aftermath we found the pay chest and a book written in code. After a few days out smart guy cracked the code. It was a ledger of bounties. So now we don't know who we hit...good guys or bad guys. We wisely kept quiet about it....But consequences may well loom in the future...
