I don't know if this is new, but I just noticed it: homebrew spell descriptions, when displayed in character sheet, (now?) shows "Version" under Casting Time, Duration, etc.
As a DM who creates a lot of homebrew spells for my campaign, I wonder if this information is relevant to players. I use the Version field when creating a homebrew spell as notes to myself (spell source, author; for example "TD1" i.e, Tal Dorei campaign setting version 1).
Was there a demand for homebrew spell version number to show up on the character sheet?
I personally could do without them on the sheet itself. Maybe "un-bold" and italized the information with a smaller font?
I know it's a minor thing, and probably other DMs use that information for some purposes. 🙂 Just thought I'd share my opinion.
Your numerous quotes are really getting out of hand, especially when viewed on a mobile phone. You don't *have* to quote everything every time. You can edit the quotes (deleting text) and keep only relevant parts... Just sayin'. 😐
Can somone please explain why the tab for Concentration spells would be useful in-game? By all means put it under filters, but if you’re going to make tabs, how about for something useful like casting times?

A visible concentration icon (or "condition") when a character is concentrating on a spell would be quite useful, but I agree with you regarding the tab. In fact, the opposite would be useful : a non-concentration spells only tab (Concentration icon with an X on it :) ) So if you're concentrating on a spell, you can easily peruse your non-concentration spell options.
Loving the revamp so far. One minor thing that I would love; if items tagged as "containers" could have items added to them in the inventory management tab, that would be just swell. Bonus points if the containers compared their weight capacity to the items they contained and told you if they were overstuffed, and for the ability to "drop" or "leave" a container somewhere and have its weight not count towards your encumbrance. I absolutely love playing with variant encumbrance and having tools to better manage containers and carry weight would be fantastic.

Exactly! When Adam mentioned it I thought this is what he meant. A way to eliminate Concentration spells from the view.
Found a few more little things that (IMO) need added/fixed when making characters.
Making Custom Items in the sheet seems to be very limited. I can't make a custom weapon with all fields filled, for instance. I can make a custom attack, but if I have spells that change my attacks, that could get quite cumbersome. It would be much easier to just be able to make the custom item, complete with abiilty to tell the system that it's a simple melee weapon with the thrown, light, and finesse properties and a range of 60/90, since that's what my homebrew magic item manifests for me. (dagger with improved thrown range)
Ability to just customize an existing weapon fully, complete with changing it's range, adding or removing properties, etc. I need to be able to change every single field.
Ability to do all of this in the homebrew section of the site, so that I can do this work once, ever, and my whole group can use the stuff I've made, and the appropriate functions will auto-populate correctly, so long as I've set up the item correctly, just like with existing magic items.
Ability to tell the system that my custom attack is magical, and have it show up blue or whatever.
Ability (if it doens't already exist) to make a magic item that summons a magic weapon, and set up the stats of that weapon inside the statistics for that magic item, so that it autopopulates in the Attacks section of the sheet when you equip/attune that magic item. eg, if I have an item that manifest magical daggers with increased range, I need to be able to program that magic item in a way that the magical daggers show up in the Attacks section of my sheet.
Double checked after update last night. I am still not seeing +2 for my rod of the Pact Keeper reflected in my magic initiate and pact of the tome warlock spells that do qualify for the +2 to DC and/or to hit. Any help here would be appreciated. Thank you!.

The lack of inflection in text means that a reader of any post adds their own inflection as they "verbalize" it in their head. I write long and repetitive in an effort to be clear and avoid my intent from being skewed or inverted. I am also bad at examples. It is common for people to skim my posts pull out the idea they think I mean or want to argue against or focus on my bad example instead of the point I am actually trying to make. I apologies for the confusion my failure to be clear and concise creates.
Love it. Works well, looks good, but it would be nice to have an option to remove all the borders etc. I personally prefer a clean, simple character sheet, especially when it's printed out.

You took magic initiate (warlock) as a warlock?

The ENTIRE reason I use DNDBeyond...was the fact that it was very easy to read the spell right in front of me, I didn't have to hit extra things to see what the spell did, it was also very easy to upgrade the spell to a higher level. Neither feature seems to be available. WHY WOULD YOU MAKE THIS LIKE PAPER?? I paid for your content. I want to be able to use it on the fly while playing, this interface doesn't allow that...this interface makes DNDBeyond USELESS for my needs.

If you just click on the spell, you can still do exactly that. It's really no extra work from opening the spell in the previous sheet. Actually it's a little easier since you can just hit cast under the level you wish to cast it at without opening anything.

It’s even easier to cast spells at higher levels, since spells that scale show up in each spell level above their base level. And you always had to tap to see spell details, and you still can but now you don’t need to as much. Yeah there are a few kinks that need ironing out but overall this is a big improvement, once you get used to where everything is it’s much faster.

Wot? Literally everything you just said is far better in the new sheet.

After clicking multiple times and not being able to upgrade the spell...at the spell use button...it is still lacking. If people want the paper look fine, offer it. But this is bull shit. I can't have all that I want visible on my tablet. I feel I was swindled out of the money I spent on the content. If I wanted paper, I would have printed the damn pdf.
I'm happy for you. When I click it, it just shows the spells that are that spell level, not the other spells to be used at that level. Again, more clicks than were required previously, I also prefer to be able to actually read the spell before casting, which...oh look...ANOTHER cluck, scroll, click. That is not more simplistic operation. I'm glad you like your paper.

I just completed a session, our first with the “desktop view” working on iPads.
My wife (who hated the revamp when it launched) was overjoyed: “this is so much better than it ever was!”
And I concur. I liked the revamp, even as launched, but now? It’s great. Keep adding usability tweaks as they come up. Thanks!
